PeriodicTable #
Renders the full periodic table (all 118 elements) with category color coding, highlight support, and adaptive square cell sizing.
Readability behavior #
- Cells stay perfect squares and scale by dataset size.
- Full-table mode prioritizes symbol/number/mass; names are auto-hidden for density.
- Subset mode can show full element names for classroom-style focused views.
- Includes a top-center labeled key with guide lines for number/symbol/name/mass.
Data interpretation note #
- When atomic mass is not explicitly provided in the dataset entry, the cell shows a bracketed atomic number placeholder (e.g.,
[57]) to avoid showing incorrect mass values.
